You See It When You Read It

This book is a compilation of Dewey’s paintings and their accompanying stories.  It’s easy to read the stories and have a good understanding of how Dewey grew up, his beliefs and ideals.  There are so many ways to describe Dewey, but until you read some of his stories, you might not fully understand his complexity.

Dewey began painting on canvas in the mid-1980s, but has always been able to draw about anything he wanted.  It wasn’t until the last ten years or so that he has been able to devote more time to his artwork, mastering different techniques which make his paintings so interesting.  He loves nature and the outdoors which is evident in his work.

Look under Featured Memoirs for some examples of his stories. Please contact Dewey if you would like to purchase a copy.

“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”

― Ansel Adams
